KCCN (The Koyasan Cross-cultural Communication Network) is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing accurate and useful information for all visitors wanting to learn more about Koyasan.
KCCN was founded in 2008 but the origins date back to the beginning of the Koyasan Interpreter Guide Club (KIGC).
The KIGC started in 2005 as a small group of volunteers that helped guide people through the history and anecdotes of Koyasan. Since 2004 when Koyasan was registered as the World Heritage Site by UNESCO, the number of visitors from abroad continued to steadily increase.
Surrounded by the natural beauty of the Kii Peninsula, Koyasan is a unique and tranquil place that was registered as a World Heritage Site in 2004. Koyasan is not only known for being the monastery of Shingon Buddhism but it is steeped in history and culture that is known throughout the country. Koyasan is a place where all people are welcome to share in its peace and serenity.
